You can get omega-3 fatty acids from other sources such as hemp seed oil, flaxseed oil and others. You do not need to eat fish.

It’s true that soya beans can reduce cholesterol.

My LDL came in at 195 190 mg/dL at my last checkup, and my doc said I had better get it under control or I would have to go on a statin drug. I guess I thought that my days of eating good food were over. But what is great about Sterolyn is that I’m not totally forbidden to eat the kinds of foods I enjoy. It actually can have a cheesesteak or some buffalo wings from time to time, and my cholesterol is still down. I’ve gotten my LDL down to 130 ml/dl, which I didn’t think I could ever do.

Yes just like cancer more people are making a living from the disease than are dying from it.

    low-density-lipoPROTEIN
    high-density-lipoPROTEIN

It’s not a cholesterol, it’s a protein that transports cholesterol to tissue. Cholesterol is a fundamental building block for hormones and without it we would die. The rating for what constitutes “high cholesterol” has been lowered over the years by drug companies.

Why is “high cholesterol” now less than half of what was accepted as normal several decades ago?

Bottom line, drug companies make money off of disease.
