We are all familiar with acne and nearly all of us get this skin disorder, to some degree in our lives. Technically known as acne vulgaris, this skin disorder affects millions of people worldwide annually. Mostly acne effects adolescents but also occasionally infants and adults. What is acne?
Acne varies in severity from quite mild to very severe. Typically acne forms when the lining of the skin duct as well as the sebaceous glands begin to work overtime.
