Physical Assessment Clinics for eligible children thru Title XIX (SRS) Programs.
Includes Physical Exam, Hearing and Vision Tests, Urinalysis, Hemoglobin, DDST & Speech Evaluation. Physical assessments for private individuals same as tests for Title XIX Program, of special value to parents of preschoolers and kindergartners. Headstart children receive annual assessment through contracted services.

The goal of WIC is to prevent or correct health problems caused by poor nutrition, by providing nutritious foods and nutrition education. Nutritious Foods-WIC foods are meant to supplement your diet at an important time in growth and development. Nutrition Education-A Nutritionist or nurse will talk with you and provide videos and pamphlets to help increase your understanding of nutrition. WIC encourages Regular Health Care-Our WIC Clinic has these services available: Immunizations, Family Planning, Well Baby Clinic. Ask our clinic about health care for you and your family.

Hospitals, Physicians, Adult Care Facilities, Schools, and Day Care Facilities report to Health Department for all Kansas reportable diseases. Health Department conducts investigation and reports to Kansas Department Of Health & Environment and Centers for Disease Control.
Food-Borne Illness Investigation
Outbreak of food-borne illness investigated by local Health Department.
Women's Health Care
Pap Smear, Breast Exam and Laboratory Tests for any age who may not need contraception.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases
HIV/AID's and Venereal Disease testing, Treatment and Referral. Follow up on contacts.
Special Clinics
Special Clinics, Classes or Talks as requested by Groups, Schools, or Individuals.
Prenatal Care For High Risk Pregnancies
Nurses, Dietician, and Social Worker will work with physicians to provide Counseling and Education on Prenatal Care. Some women may be eligible for financial assistance for Prenatal Care.
High Risk Infant Program
Infants determined by a physician to be high risk during their first year through prematurity, birth injury, or congenital defects are visited in their home by a nurse on a regular schedule. The nurse reports to the Local Physician and to their referring Specialists.
Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention
Blood Tests, Environmental Assessment, Family Counseling, Education, Nutrition Assessment and Counseling.
TB Follow-Up
TB Medication Free and Monitoring available. TB Skin Tests and Follow-Up of positive reactors and contacts.
Genetic Diseases
Children receiving treatment for certain genetic diseases may be eligible for medication and/ or supplies from the State Health Departments.
